Toroso Restaurant

Toroso Kitchen & Cocktails, now open, is the latest eatery offering from Food Network star and celebrity chef Shannon Bard. Inspired by her extensive training in Spain, Shannon offers an array of Spanish inspired dishes, infused with a contemporary flair and her signature renown style.

The Barn at the Kennebunks, a wedding venue barn (opening soon), Salud Catering from Shannon Bard, and the Salud Bistro (also opening soon) will complete this fabulous culinary complex in Kennebunk, Maine.

What Happened on Our UK Visit

In March 2018 we visited the UK in hope that we could find more excellent Latin cuisine ideas. What we found was completely unbelievable, not only did we find extraordinary Latin food but a superb Indian restaurant as well.

We landen at London Gatwick on 03/15/2018 and explored London for a few days finding nothing special, of course in our opinions.

We moved on via rail to Portsmouth to see the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and found somewhere called Gunwharf. We had some okay food there but were still looking for that WOW factor. While doing some shopping in Gunwharf we bumped in to a restraunteur named Lal, he recommended that we try his Indian restaurant in Bognor Regis as he claimed to have the best Indian food south of London.

We embarked on a cab ride which was £60 or $80 US and were taken in to a small but perfectly formed Indian restaurant in the heart of Bognor Regis where we treated to VIP service and truly stunning Indian cuisine. Now back in the US I still remember Lal, his claims but more importantly his food, it was amazing!!!
